Orchard Day Nursery children have their second trip to local care home to enjoy a day of games with the elderly residents who are always pleased to see them.

They share various activities with the residents, who look forward to the visits and are always pleased to see the children.

We did some singing and dancing and also learn about the differences between generations and about the world.

They understand that sometimes they need to speak quietly, but sometimes it is necessary to speak more loudly if an older person is having difficulty hearing them.

It’s clear that both generations benefit from spending time together.

On the way to our visit, we also talk about different buildings such as the police station or a post office as we walkthrough.

It was an amazing experience and we will continue our visits on regular basis and already looking forward to our next visit.
